CORNER With so much emphasis being placed on her personal life, one tends to
forget that Mrs. Tameka Foster Raymond is an accomplished business woman in her
own right. According to her online bio, Mrs. Raymond of Swanky, Inc. got her start
by first attending the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising as marketing
major. What's more, she worked as a sales associate and manager while attending
college. Before long, she was styling models for shoots and the rest is history.
According to reports, Tameka's career skyrocketed when she began working with
recording companies as a stylist to their artists.
CFDA/VOGUE
FASHION FUND The CFDA/VOGUE Fund was created to
provide financial awards and mentoring to up and coming American designers. The
awards range from $50,000 to $200,000 | |
for the winner. To be eligible, an applicant must:
Gained substantial editorial coverage and have orders from top retailers.
Be American or have established a primary design business in the US.
Be in business for a minimum of two years. Have professional staff,
paid or volunteer Request and submit a preliminary application, accompanied
by a 350-word biographical statement which should include a summary of the applicant's
